As a little girl, my parents would take me to this restaurant. I was raised vegetarian and this was one of the most delicious places to eat. To this day, I crave it and unfortunately most of them have been closed, except for the ones in LA and Minnesota. But what I wouldn’t do for the following:
1. Planet burger, a vegetarian burger of adzuki and pinto beans, sunflower and sesame seeds, cashews and vegetables, served with a side of tortilla chips.
2. Garden Patch Salad, mixed greens with a blend of Jack and Cheddar cheese, broccoli, cauliflower, zucchini, carrots, tomato.
3. A berry shake.
We celebrated big occassions here: grandma’s b-day, my good report cards, my successful gymnastics meets, the announcement of my sister Maya’s birth, etc. This was by far our family standard for quality veggie meals that everyone could enjoy.
